Park City fun

We had a quick get away with C&D and T&K several weeks ago. We got to stay in a Park City hotel for a night and they even gave us $50 to come. Oh and we got to have the great privilege of listening to their vacation share package presentation. Joy! We did have fun with everyone there though. The main event was SWIMMING. It was a little cool but the water was heated and they had a sauna. We all had tiny rooms so, we took the three boys in with us and the girls stayed with their parents. The boys stayed up till 1:00 so they thought that was pretty cool. Swimming pictures JD was crazy. He would walk off the steps right into the water. Darren would bring him out again and he would wipe the water off his face and go back and do it again. He did love it when his dad had him on his shoulders and went underwater. It was like he was the motor boat Snack time (always!) Chilling at the pool The tour--well the elevator ride part at least The talk The kids sure do love being with their cousins. We love watching them.

Sis's Birthday!

Christie is yet another year older and wiser! We got to sing to her and Brendan the last day of the reunion. It reminded me of past years when they have had their birthdays over the reunion time. It was fun. Christie's birthday is always a sweet memory because she was born on Grandma's birthday. Grandpa predicted it when I went into labor a month early with her. He said, "You aren't having this baby tonight. You are going to wait another month and have her on your mother's birthday." And that is exactly what happened. Grandma took me to the hospital at 2 AM and was the first to see her after the Dr's and nurses that early morning. It was pretty special. They had fun celebrating their birthday's together after we moved back to Utah. I didn't have a recent picture of her, so I am putting on older ones. I had to laugh because I think I know why Lucy doesn't smile much! Poor example!!! (Really--these are just a few of many to choose from--I think I can do a blackmail if I needed too) Anyway, we sure love you Christie. You are awesome! Have a great year ahead!

It has been a long time since I updated so I am back tracking--maybe I can get to the reunion before the end of the summer. Things have been so busy, but fun. Bren's and Christie's birthdays got right in the mix of our family reunion so we didn't do a real celebration this year. However, you can consider that all the events were a big party. We sure do love our Brendan. He always has a smile to cheer you up. He is a lot of fun to be around and loves to tell you all sorts of things--stories, experiences, jokes, etc. I had fun remembering as I found a few pictures of him when he was younger. (The older grandkids are all on real pictures and alas I have no scanner) Bren has always had a lot of fun with his cousins Alas, this blog is being difficult. I have done something wrong. So I will add some other favorite shots and say to Bren, Happy, Happy 13th birthday! We love you!!!

Anniversary x's3

Happy Anniversary to our June weddings! I have given up remembering how long everyone has been married now, but we are so thankful you all found each other and made that commitment! We think each of you are better people together! Great to be 8!

This is our year of great 8's! Lucy had her birthday on the 21st and we had fun celebrating it for several days. She is getting so excited for her baptism. In fact, at the swimming pool yesterday, she was "practicing" I have lots of fun looking back at pictures and remembering our little ones. One of my favorite is our generation picture. She is her great-grandma's namesake. Some of the others I love: We have proof that she really was into princesses once upon a time. This was when she was a "bride. She made her own veil--out of TP I love that Lucy used to smile in her pictures. Lucy is such a joy to be around. She is kind and helpful, she likes to get things done. You can't fool her much anymore--she is a thinker and will call you on things if you aren't careful. We sure love her! Happy birthday, Lucy Lu!

Happy Birthday to Nicole!

Nicole turned 6 years old on June 2nd. She was so excited for her birthday and had such a fun day she said. She is always such a happy, smiling and loving girl. We can always count on a hug from her and it really brightens our day. I couldn't find many pictures of her when she was younger but here are a few.
