Reunion, Part 2

Good reunions always seem to have good food in abundance and good people to visit with, so this one was beyond good. It was great. After a day of 4-wheeling

JD was in his element on the 4-wheeler, motorcycles and lawn mowers--anything with wheels
Nicole and Averie loved the wheels also
and hiking and swimming, and crafts,
Lucy brought out her paints and the girls had a painting party
Some of the girls were crafty doing hair bows
and computer games
and (gasp!) someone working, Grandpa did some dutch oven cooking,
Little Olive came out to say goodnight to grandpa before she went to sleep
home made root beer and barbecue chicken.

We had a relaxing evening--some of the adults actually got to use the hot tub and then, after Texas sheet cake and ice cream, we went to bed.
The next day started much the same, with a fast paced walk for those who were brave, then a great breakfast.
Christie and Darren took off to get help for Addie's finger. After they got back, and we again had great food,  we went to the swimming pool and pretty much doubled the patronage there.

We braved the rain that was threatening and had a good time.
After we got back, the boys found a hummingbird and got it to sit on their hands

Tom and Kristy fed us great and after that we had the talent show. It was lots of fun!
Taylor did a fun dance--loved the pink boots. After she did her part, she got all the kids to participate
Lucy drew some awesome pictures. I loved the one of the whole family
Colton showed us some things he constructed
John did a great magic trick
Josh played several numbers for us
Jenna also played some great music
I am sad I don't have pictures of everyone's talents, but thanks for everyone's participation. It was lots of fun and very entertaining. Then came the fun tradition of the toilet seat. This year was one of my favorites. The experiences written about dad were funny and tender
Kristy passes it on
Then came one of my favorite memories--my sweet grandchildren singing "I Know He Lives". That was the best moment to have them bear their testimonies in song

Saturday morning got us moving to clean up and get on the road. Thanks to Kim and Daniel for setting up and taking our pictures! (and listening to all the belly aching!)
Getting ready

Favorite  boys!
Favorite girls
Funny Faces
The trip back was memorable. The first stop was when the tire blew out on the trailer. After Tom and Trav and Darren fixed that, we stopped at the cheese factory. Some of us stopped at a local hamburger stop for lunch--we overwhelmed them though and seriously were there for over an hour!

The kids had fun at the park in back.
Mustached girls

After that we again headed home when another tire blew out on the trailer and Tom and family were stranded in Nephi. John and Laura had their house keys in their car that we were driving so they were locked out for a couple of hours waiting for us. And, Trav and family ran out of gas. So, the tradition of something always going wrong on the Hall trips is still alive!

Oh man- i didnt hear about your adventures on the way back. Crazy! Well at least there wasnt an accident right- I mean there are lots of other things that could have happened that could have resulted in injuries, so we should be grateful that the tires and gas were just minor incoveniences.
Im jealous you guys were all able to spend a little bit more of Saturday together. We live in the wrong direction.
And one more thing- why is it that the only picture of me is the one at the pool-? Come on mom- thats just not fair!

Ahhh great times at the reunion! It was one of my favorite reunions so far minus the mix up in the beginning! Thanks so much for documenting it! Wonderful pictures! :)
