More!

Notice Trey's great lunch!

More Reunion Photos

I remembered what else I wanted to ask everyone. Johnny will put all the pictures on a CD for me if you share what you took with him. I think he got most of you but we wanted to get all of them, so do it ASAP, if you would. I tried to put some pictures on but couldn't find the numbers of some I wanted and it is really hard to decide which to use cause they are all so cute, but I did decide to put these on as well. I'm just sorry that I don't have one of everyone, so this is just a sampler.

Yeah! The computer let me on. Yesterday it didn't work. I wanted to send out a few of my favorite pictures from last weekend. Some of my favorite moments were the spontaneous hugs I got from different grandchildren. I would be standing there and I would feel a hug around my legs and look down and see one of your children--then they would run off and play. It was just the best! Thank you all for coming and sharing your lives and talents. I know that life will eventually take everyone in their own direction and we won't always be able to have reunions. I look at dad and my families and we don't get to have much contact with each other. I only have one cousin I see every ten years or so and dad never gets to see his. And, most of you never get to see your cousins either now, so I cherish these times together and the memories we are making. I love seeing how you all love each others children and are such good examples for them as well. Life has moved on and as always it brings it challenges. We have enjoyed Kim here this week, but have felt bad they are all feeling so rough with colds, etc. She takes Tyler and Kylie to swimming every day and keeps very busy just with the routine things. She has been helping with the meals as well so that is always a bonus. Yesterday was Lucy's 7th birthday and we went to her swimming party. It was fun, except for the sunburn we got despite using sunscreen. She is so fun and smart and we love to be around her. Their family is all sick today so we won't see them. We got to go to Sydney and Taylor's dance recital and they were so cute! Dr Aagard's was there for his daughter's dance and he said the little 3 year old dancers were his favorite--mine too. Justyn is working on his eagle project and will come to the office tomorrow to see if the Dr's will be sponsers. I am anxious to hear him! John and Laura and Lucky left Thursday for her family reunion in Flaming Gorge. Hopefully we will see pictures soon on her blog. I saw Liz for a couple of minutes when she tended the boys and Gracie for Kristy the day of the dance so I haven't really talked with them. She is always so good to help out. Trav and Allison made it safely home--just in time for TJ's thing, so they were happy about that. We are dealing with a broken refrigerator. We noticed Friday and by yesterday it was mostly out. So, the freezer has the milk in it and it is at least keeping it cold. We made a trip to Tom and Kristy's with the rest of the food. I am so hoping it can be repaired and we don't have to get a new one. What poor timing. Reed and Allyson's AC is out so they are living in a hot house. They have someone coming on Monday. Anyway, that is it for tidbit news--hopefully we can read more on everyone's blog. Love, Mom

Relief!

Well, we did it. We got the talks over with. I honestly thought I would throw up! I ended up talking too long and took some of dad's time so he went over. I feel bad about that. And, although I didn't want anyone to come, it was such an overwhelming feeling to see the support from C&D and T&K and J&L and family--hey I can't just write J&L anymore. Both families were there, so thank you. It was so fun to see the grandchildren. They all looked so cute and I couldn't help but feel so proud and thankful for such blessings. Little Gracie kept waving while grandpa was talking and the girls would give me such big grins while I was talking and leading the music. I loved it. And, thanks for those--or should I say the one who answered my email--you know who you are! Trav had to talk in Sacrament mtg today as well. Wish we could have been there. Justyn called begging to come over tonight so grandpa went to get them. R&A went to a fireside and they were bored. Reed has been quite sick so he wasn't planning on going but went anyway. He and Bren are going on a campout Wed. We are so excited to see everyone. T&A are coming Wed and K&D are coming Thurs--everyone please drive safe. We love you all so much! It should be a party--a fun one, Darren!

Saturday night fun

Laura is again sharing her talents. Jer needed a haircut and she graciously accepted the challenge. He wanted it short so he wouldn't have to have it cut so often. It has been so nice that she takes care of us. I don't think we can let them move to Colorado. Hopefully from our point of view it will still be a few years. (Sorry, Laura) While they were there Colton showed me his surprise--no teeth

Cousins

My cousin Lindasue was here for the weekend for a family reunion. She is from Texas and is my closest cousin. We had so much fun together when we would visit or visa versa. She is the daughter of my Aunt Ellen who is grandma's sister. You all know how much I hate taking pictures but I thought I would put this one on for memory sake. Also, it is a good shot of my "cracked" face. Sydney and Taylor always ask me "how come my face is cracked? You have to put lotion on it then it won't crack!"

Tractor work

Dad finished most of the sprinkler system Saturday. So he is now grading the front trying to get it ready for sod. The rock wall turned out okay as well.

Sisters

Nicole's birthday

It is official--Nicole turned 5 years old. She was so cute when I called her on her birthday. She said "Grandma, how did you know it was my birthday?"

SOS

Aauugh!!!!! Last night we got the call! We were asked to speak in Sacrament mtg on Sunday. I have had a knot in my stomach ever since. I didn't sleep very well last night--it is like a nightmare. Anyway, I wish I wasn't such a baby about these things. I protested but he said it had been 2 years since we had talked and they wanted to get us before we moved. Now we will have to talk here and in the new ward. Seriously I will get an ulcer over this. It is on my list of some of the worst things to do. Anyway, if any of you have pity on us and know of good resource articles or have experiences from you missions, etc about the subject, we would appreciate it. Dad kind of needs a focus as well, but it is on "Blessings of the Book of Mormon", and that is such a wide subject that we could go anywhere with it. Sometimes that is the problem. Thanks for any and all help!

Great day!

Sunday Justyn was ordained to the office of a teacher. It was pretty special. After we got to stay and have dinner with them. We really enjoyed being in their home and visiting for awhile. We even played games and got home made ice cream.

Labor Intensive

Dad got word of free sod that they were going to plow up on Monday so he decided he would go get all he could for our new house. So, that caused quite the contention since we have no sprinklers and no preparation. Still, why do I argue? He likes to do what he wants. So Friday he got Darren and Tom and they cut sod. They had nothing but trouble because the sod cutter didn't work. So we "resolved" the issue I thought but next morning dad, Darren, Jer and friends went to work again. They cut all day and brought several trailer loads over to C&D for their yard. They finally quit although they had lots more cut but since they were tired they left it until Monday morning. Darren went over at 5:00 AM and Jer met him there. But, guess what? It was taken by sod thieves, so they are all pretty upset.
