Justyn!

Well, it was 15 years ago that we became grandparents. Justyn entered the world on May 28th and has made us proud ever since. He is a hard worker, is fun, is a good example to his younger siblings and cousins and very good with the little kids especially. I found a few pictures when he was younger before he started the ANNOYING habit of always covering his face when I take his picture. Visiting in Yuma Did I mention he loves chocolate ice cream Saturday Evening Post King Easterand Halloween He is becoming a great trumpet player! He is on his way to marching band/parade--of course the hiding the face is my challenge now The BIG news for Justyn is he got his learners permit, so he can officially drive with a licensed driver now--so watch out, here he comes. I do hear that he is a pretty good driver though Allyson & Reed put together a birthday party at the park for Justyn and Nicole and that was fun. Here are a few pics Happy Birthday, Justyn. We sure love you!

Lagoon day!

We got to go with Christie and her four and John, Laura, Tom, Kristy and their fam to Lagoon for Memorial Day. We were so disappointed to have not spent the day hoeing weeds like we usually do! But we had a lot of fun. We started out with just Addie, but then the others came and we volunteered to take the 5 younger girls. We had so much fun with them. We went from one ride to the next. Everything they saw they wanted to ride on--so we did until we ran out of time. Here are a few of our favorites. Grandma & Addie on the merry go round Johnny, Laura, Lucy and Josh on the famous roller coaster The girls waiting in line One of their favorites Of course we had to go on the train ride to see the animals The bad news of the day is that Christie either lost her camera or someone stole it. Sad, huh? Anyway, it was a fun day and the weeds waited for us. Thanks so much for letting us tag along and for paying our way!

Zack--10 years old!

Happy birthday to Zack! He has got to celebrate his 10th birthday all week long. His mom even let him have a whole week off of chores. It is hard to believe that it was 10 years ago that we were worried that he might never come! As always, time flies. I found a few favorite pictures from our years together. This was then... And now... Happy Birthday Zack--Happy Mother's day Christie

School fun

With the end of the school year we have been able to go to some great programs featuring, who else but the best looking grandchildren! Unfortunately, I officially have senior moments or some-heimers because I missed Justyn's band program--completely forgot, then that following Saturday, I spaced out Joshy's last soccer game. I have felt so bad! So, what I did get to see was awesome. Zack's grade did a mineral/electricity/etc program. He sang really good and did the moves. Lucy's program was on geography I believe. She also sang--she didn't smile cause she saw her dad doing the video camera and she said she didn't like it. Jenna and Nicole did their dance program and they did really great. They looked so cute in their costumes. This has been so fun for us to go. We also did FHE this month. Tom and Kristy took their turn and did a great job teaching us about examples. The kids did an exploring adventure that night also and had great fun. After FHE we watched one of my favorite Mother's Day gifts from John and Laura--the DVD of our family reunion. It is awesome. I made the kids eat their dessert in the kitchen, but you can see they were loving looking at it. It is a great memory! Thank you so very much for the awesome job you did recreating this memory. I love it and will always treasure it.

2 years and counting

Happy Anniversary to John and Laura. What a fun day that was 2 years ago! How glad we are that Laura joined our family. Just a couple of my favorite pictures of that day. Laura didn't quite know what she was getting into here. They all love her so much now. These two are favorites in the aunt and uncle department. They are always there to lend a hand and they have kept us entertained and laughing! They have made a good match! So, I tried to get an anniversary picture and this is all they gave me. I don't get it! They are both so photogenic--and this is what I get. You gotta love it. Happy day and 3rd year ahead.

Mother's

I just wanted to thank some amazing women in my life. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's day and that you were spoiled. I know I was. Thank you for being who you are. Thank you for being such great mothers to the best grandchildren ever. Thank you for being such great wives. Thank you for being the best daughters and daughters in law that I love like my own. Thanks for being so dedicated in church callings. Thanks for being so talented and creative and so appreciative. Thanks for loving me. You are the very best! You'll notice that most of the pictures are with either your children or someone else's. That is what you do best. You are all so full of love to give. (This is NOT an announcement for Laura. I just didn't have another one that I could find) Sure love you all!
